A man was shot at Frankfurt Central Station. The murder took place around 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening, in the middle of the train station, opposite a track.
The perpetrator tried to escape, but the federal police caught him a few meters from the crime scene.
The background of the crime is still completely unclear. The police have not yet provided any precise information about the identity of the victim or the person arrested.
Despite large-scale operations, train traffic quickly resumed
The central station was closed for about 25 minutes due to the large-scale police operation. At midnight, the operation was still ongoing and parts of the station were cordoned off, but trains were already running again.
