In the US state of Oregon, a small plane crashed into a residential building on Saturday morning, causing a fire, the local sheriff’s office announced.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said the twin-engine Cessna was flying near Troutdale Airport in Fairview at around 10:30 a.m. local time. It was unclear how many people were on board. There was initially no information about possible casualties.
Thousands of households without electricity
Footage (see video above) showed a large fire in the building. According to media reports, thousands of households in the region were initially without power – presumably because a line was damaged in the crash.
