The CPI falls to 1.5% in September after food prices rose to their lowest level in three years

The National Statistical Institute (INE) confirmed on Tuesday that inflation data advanced two weeks ago. The decline is mainly due to cheaper fuel and food prices.

Core inflation (excluding unprocessed food and energy products) fell three-tenths to 2.4% in September, nine-tenths above the headline pace and the lowest level since January 2022.
