The New York Police Department has reported that the person arrested is named Luigi Mangione and is 26 years old. Apparently, he was arrested in possession of a firearm matching the weapon used in the crime.
Authorities arrested the suspect in the murder of UnitedHealthcare insurance company CEO Brian Thompson on Monday in Altoona, Pennsylvania. possession of a firearm that matches the one used in the crime.
The New York Police Department announced in a press conference today that the name of the detainee is Luigi Mangione and is 26 years old: “He is currently believed to be our prime suspect in the targeted killing of Brian Thompson.”
The police also have one false identity card issued in New Jersey and which also matched the DNI that the suspect used to register at the New York hostel where he was staying before committing the murder.
