Polymicrogyria is a rare malformation of the brain. Liam (2) from Tyrol is one of the affected. For him, a large advantage festival is now being organized to help and support. There is live music, food and drinks and a lottery. A donation account has also been set.
Liam was eight months old when he came out that he was not healthy. The diagnosis: polymikrogyria. This is a complex developmental disorder of the brain. In particular, it is about malformation with abnormal form and structure of the cerebral cortex and the surface.
The effects include a light mental disability, cerebral attacks and a pseudobulbear – paralysis – ie speech disorders, disorders of tongue mobility, swallowing disorders and hoarseness.
“He can’t turn himself, don’t crawl, don’t get anything,” says his mother. But she remains optimistic: “The child gives you back twice and triple love,” she is convinced. Treatment and therapy are expensive. That is why an advantage event takes place for the now two -year -old Liam.
“Benefit event full of love and community”
“To support him in the best possible way – with therapies, AIDS and medical care – we organize a benefit event full of love, hope and community on 28 June 2025.”
Melissa and Alessandro with Antonio Francesco draw attention to the event: “Because we are a young family ourselves and cannot donate much money.” The event takes place in fries in the Tyroolean Unterland at the HMS Stöger – Innstrasse 19A company.
- When: June 28 at 6 p.m.
- Where: HMS Stöger Company Premises in Innstrasse 19a in 6122 Fritzens
- Principlized Donation Account Raika-Watts with the IBAN: AT21 3632 2000 0760 5884
Music fans can look forward to: Live is the band “Alpenwahn”. The food and drink and a lottery are also offered. “Come by, because every help counts! Every moment is expensive,” Melissa encourages.
