Unfortunately, he also has a namesake with whom he does not want to be lumped together: Erwin Oskar Paul Baumann was a German SS Standartenführer. And it is precisely these two men that Google now links very unhappily: the algorithm throws out the photo of the Villacher together with the text of the SS man. Erwin Baumann from Villach even gets the title “SS member”.
Court case is being prepared
“The content comes from the Knowledge Graph – Google’s technology for collecting information about people, places and things,” the provider says. The FP politician now wants to take legal action against the apparently technical error: “It is unbelievable. I am preparing a lawsuit.”
