Homicide alert in the Lower Austrian district of Baden: A woman (57) has been found dead in a family home in the village of Oberwaltersdorf. The body had multiple stab wounds. The police suspect a violent crime.
According to information from the “Krone”, the husband (64) should have alerted the emergency services. Rescue workers, emergency room physician and police rushed to a family home in a settlement in Oberwaltersdorf on Wednesday.
For the 57-year-old, however, all help came too late, the emergency doctor could only determine the death of the woman. The woman was found to have multiple stab wounds to her head. The crime scene detectives have secured traces in the family home and on the property.
The 64-year-old is currently undergoing psychological treatment – he is in shock. He must be questioned by the police as soon as possible. The investigations of the National Criminal Investigation Department are in full swing. Witnesses and residents were questioned on the spot on Wednesday afternoon. An autopsy has also been ordered.
This is the second bloody crime in a few hours. Shortly before that, a 45-year-old woman in the Korneuburg district was attacked by her husband with a knife and seriously injured.
