Rolling over with a car – black ice: Obersteirerin (35) dies in a car accident

A tragic traffic accident occurred in the Murau district on Saturday night: a 35-year-old lost control of her car on a slippery road and went off the road. The car overturned several times and the woman was thrown from the vehicle. She succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the accident.

Snowfall and rain caused dangerous conditions on the roads in Styria on Saturday night. A 35-year-old driver from Murau district was killed at about 2:30 am.

At the Katsch interchange (Murau district), the woman skidded and initially collided with a road pole. She then tore her vehicle to the right, which fell over an embankment and overturned several times before coming to rest in a field. The 35-year-old was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the car.

The woman from Murau suffered serious injuries. According to the police, the rescuers could do nothing more for the woman, she died at the scene of the accident.
