Serious traffic accident Friday night in the Tyrolean Zillertal: At an intersection in Fügen there was a collision between a minibus and a car. Three women aged 19, 45 and 50 were injured by the force of the impact. A man and two children escaped unhurt.
The fatal accident happened shortly after 7 p.m.: A German holiday family was driving their minibus on the L298 from Wiesing towards Fügen when they collided with the car at the junction with the B169 Zillertal Straße.
Injured women taken to hospital
The car driver (50), her daughter (19) and the 45-year-old driver of the van suffered serious injuries in the collision. After first aid at the scene of the accident, they were transported by ambulance to the Schwaz district hospital.
Man and children unharmed
The husband of the Germans and their children aged 10 and 12 escaped with a fright and were unharmed. Significant material damage was caused to both vehicles.
