“In 2020 I built The Last Supper in front of my house. I’ve been thinking about the passion crib for a long time. They are more common in Tyrol, Heinz Eichler built one in Feldkirchen, but otherwise there are hardly any in Carinthia,” says Hermann Bidner, who ordered the figures during the Corona period. “You determine the size of the cradle yourself,” explains the master crib builder explains: “I planned from a box at home, so the Passion crib is 16 inches deep, but very wide.”
