Nature lovers currently have reason for happiness in the municipality of Kirchbach-Zerlach in Styria. The stork “Meister Adebar” has returned from his winter journey.
“On March 23, ‘Master Adebar’ arrived at his summer residence in Kirchbach,” the fire brigade of the market town announced on Monday. This makes him the first stork of the year to return from the south and set up his summer home here.
“Master Adebar” has traveled 10,000 kilometers. He now “lives” again in his well-known permanent place high above Kirchbach.
Is there a baby coming?
“Hopefully the stork won’t stay lonely for long,” hopes Franz Fink of the volunteer fire brigade. “His companion can take a seat in the nest that has been made, as it were. Now we are of course curious whether there are offspring. The breeding season usually starts around April, so hopefully we will be happy with beautiful offspring photos.” So curious.
