Fire alarm Wednesday evening in the Tyrolean Lechtal: A fire broke out in the employee kitchen of a supermarket in the municipality of Bach. This was noticed by a supplier who immediately raised the alarm.
The fire brigades of Bach, Stockach and Elbigenalp were alerted to the fire around 1:15 am. A supplier noticed heavy smoke at the supermarket and immediately called the emergency services.
Fridge completely burned
About 60 firefighters arrived and discovered the fire had broken out in the employee kitchen. “A refrigerator was discovered there that was already completely charred,” the police reported.
The emergency services were eventually able to extinguish the fire quickly. The food market was then completely ventilated. No one was injured. The extent of the material damage caused cannot yet be quantified.
