In her book “placed”, Natascha Soursos gives politicians in Vorarlberg their say – about quotas, male colleagues and glass ceilings. With the project, Soursos wants to contribute to more equality.
“Kron”: How did the idea of writing a book about female politicians come into your head?
Natasha Soursos: In 2022 I was asked if I wanted to become a municipal councilor in Feldkirch. My children were still small and had already been in care for a few hours. Then I thought to myself: if other women can manage to enter politics with children, then I can do it too. Finally, I asked myself: How do they really do it? Then I asked for one. And one more… That’s how the idea for the book came about. I realized the idea together with designer Romy Abraham and photographer Karin Nussbaumer.
