Now Robert Trenkwalder (76) is retiring after 48 years in the ski circus.
“These are moments you never forget.” Yes, Robert Trenkwalder reminisced during the ‘Krone’ interview. The 76-year-old has been an integral part of the World Ski Championships since 1976, but on May 1 it will be over and he will retire. “I’m only one step back, I’m not completely gone yet,” laughs the busy Innsbruck resident, who has been involved in numerous gold medals in various roles throughout his career.
