On Monday evening, ‘peeing outside’ was fatal for a 69-year-old in the Tyrolean Oberland. The man fell over a wall on his property and then over a steep embankment. He suffered significant injuries. Even the fire brigade had to come.
The fateful incident took place shortly before 12.30 pm in the municipality of Strengen (Landeck district). While relieving himself, as police described at Krone’s request, the 69-year-old initially fell over a property wall at his home.
But that was not enough: the man then fell about twenty meters over a steep dike before he was left injured in the area.
Taken to hospital by ambulance
Rescue services, police and even the fire brigades of Strengen and Landeck arrived to save the injured man. After initial treatment on site, he was taken to Zams Hospital.
