Crashed into a curb – cyclist seriously injured after falling over several times

Date:

Two serious motorcycle accidents without external influence occurred on the roads in Tyrol on Saturday afternoon. First, a 29-year-old German was injured in Elmen in the Tyrolean town of Ausserfern. More than two hours later, a local man (24) ended up in hospital with serious injuries.

A 29-year-old German woman was riding her motorbike on the Bschlaber Landesstraße in Elmen shortly before 4 p.m. There she probably braked and rode into the oncoming traffic. She hit a curb with her bike and fell.

She suffered serious injuries and had to be taken by ambulance to hospital in Reutte. There was serious damage to the motorcycle.

Multiple rollovers
Particularly spectacular was perhaps the accident involving a 24-year-old resident of Tarrenz. Around 18:00, the cyclist parked his bike on the right side of the road. He then rode onto the verge and fell.

“The victim rolled over several times and was seriously injured,” police said. After initial treatment, he was flown by emergency helicopter to the University Clinic in Innsbruck.
