The Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda of the Spanish Government, Raquel Sánchez, has announced that: “for the summer” sit down with the Basque and Navarrese governments to solve the problems clutch with high speed Pamplona with the “Basque Y”
Sánchez made the announcement while answering questions from Deputy Carlos García Adanero (currently suspended for UPN militancy) and EH Bildu’s representative, Bel Pozueta, during the scrutiny session in Congress.
The minister has assured that the central executive maintains “an excellent relationship” with the area managers of both governments to determine the layout of the railway infrastructure and to enable the connection between Pamplona and the “Basque Y”. However, it has acknowledged that there “deviations” around the project for the future connection.
In the same vein, the vice president of the Government of Navarra, Javier Remírez, is convinced that “there will be a solution in the short term”. “The relationship with the Basque government is also fluid,” he added. Remírez has not specified which technical aspects the Foral Executive is betting on.
Apparently, two ways would be “analyzed” to connect the TAV to the capital Navarre: the first would be performed through Vitoria-Gasteizwhile the other option would be by Ezkio-Itsaso (Gipuzkoa).
